End of 2012
2012 went out with a bunch of great news!!
McKinley practically potty trained herself two months before her 3rd birthday!! Yay! Only one kid in diapers. Its so much cheaper.
After a couple months of re-trying to get pregnant after the loss of our baby in June, we are finally expecting!!! We found out toward the beginning of November and waited until our families Christmas parties to announce. We got Matt's mom and step-mom each an ornament with snowmen on it with the grandkids name, of course an extra one with just an M. For my family we slipped Santa Clause the good news and he told my mom that she could be expecting another grandchild in July. (I wish I could get the video to load)
I have some fun Christmas pictures to share but my computer is not recognizing my SD card, oh well. Here are some pictures from our Family pictures for you to see.

Crazy Buzy
The last three weeks have flown by so fast!!! McKinley started and completed swimming lessons. She is not quite 3 yet, so we had to put her in parent and tot class. She LOVED swim lessons and did very well.
July 21st we enter Mattisyn in a baby contest. She got the award for cutest hair bow.
McKinley loved to show off her Ariel swimming suit.
McKinley holding her graduation certificate!!
Mattisyn is growing so fast. She has been timid about walking and for the past couple of months and would only walk when we held her hand. If we let go she would take a couple of steps and sit down. On July 19th things finally changed. Mattie walked from our bathroom, down the hall to the living room. Yay!! She still prefers to crawl, probably cause its faster, but it wont be long before she is running everywhere.July 21st we enter Mattisyn in a baby contest. She got the award for cutest hair bow.
Sorry the picture is dark. My camera was being grumpy.
Friday and Saturday we went to Bear Lake, but I forgot my camera.
Today I took Mattie in for her 15 month check-up. My little girl is 20 lbs and 31 inches. The doctor said that she is still growing on the tall side and that she is going to be one tall girl. He also said that with her vocabulary that she is a head for her age group. YAY!! She told the doctor "Thank-You" when he gave her a book. This made me a Proud Momma!!

Beautiful Heartbreak
A few weeks ago we were excitedly announcing the news that our three child would be entering our family in January. We had our first ultrasound on 6/6/12. I love the first ultrasound. Being able to see our tiny miracle for the first time. This time around was different. At 8 1/2 weeks along our little one was only measuring 5 1/2 weeks. We were able to see a heartbeat. My doctor was hopeful that there was a possibility that I was pregnant, lost it and got pregnant again. Which would explain the difference in the measurements. Just to make sure the doctor told me to return a week later for another check-up to see what was going on.
One week drug by. Something didn't feel right. We tried to prepare ourselves for the worst. 6/13/12 came. (the day of my appointment) We did another ultrasound. I could barely see the baby. The doctor check for about ten minutes. I couldn't see a heartbeat and knew what the doctor was going to say next. He told us that it was the news he didn't want to have to give us. The baby was still measuring 5 1/2 weeks and the heartbeat was gone. I would have to schedule a D&C. He gave us the option of taking as much time as we needed or I could have it done that week. How do you say good-bye to something you just barely found out about. We went ahead a schedule the surgery for Friday. We had already expected this outcome and thought the sooner the surgery the sooner we could start to heal.
This is something I heard happening to other women and never thought it would happen to me. Its horrible. But our Heavenly Father knows whats best for that Special Spirit. I have to trust in him that this heartbreak will be rewarded in the end and that I will be able to raise my baby. I had an attachment to it from the minute the test turned positive.
I know some women are private about their loss. For me it helps to talk about it. It helps talking to friends and my sweet cousin who just went through the same experience. Knowing that they are strong helps me to know that I can be strong too. One of my friends emailed me one of the prettiest songs that I have ever heard. Merry Christmas
I loved this Christmas Season!! McKinley was more aware of what Christmas involves. She asked over and over for us to sing Santa Claus is coming to Town. Everytime we would go to the mall she would always point out Santa and would say his name until we took her up there. Each time she would shy away and wouldnt sit on his lap. (Maybe Next Year). Mattie had fun chasing presents around on the floor and trying to rip them open.
We started out the holiday by celebrating Christmas a week early with Matt's dad and step-mom (his dad had to go back to work in ND). Next we celebrated Christmas with the Day and Dahl families. Christmas Eve we celebrated Christmas with Matt's Mom and Step-dad. Christmas morning we opened our Christmas presents and then had my family over for breakfast and finish celebrating the day.
Christmas morning McKinley beat us out of our rooms and was on top of the slide by the time we got to the living room.

Matching PJs the girls got to open Christmas Eve. (A tradition that Matt and I decide to continue that my parents started when I was a baby)
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year Everyone!!!!!

McKinley's 2nd Birthday and more...
McKinley's birthday was almost 6 weeks ago, so Im late (yet again) in posting. I can't believe how fast my baby girl is growing up. McKinley had an Elmo Party and invited a couple of her little friends and lots of family.
Its was so fun to watch her open all her presents and watch her reactions. She is one very loved and spoiled little girl.

Mattisyn is growing fast too. About three weeks ago, she started saying DaDa and loves to say it constantly. She has said MaMa twice and just laughs or Goos at me when I try to get her to say it. She is also crawling (army crawl) and is quick to make it from one end of the room to the other. Both girls love playing with each other and their cousins. Im so glad my brother and his family live close enough. McKinley tells me "Friends Play" whenever we are heading to their house or church.
That weekend we also had the famous Norman Halloween Barn Party!!!!Halloween Time!!! McKinley LOVES Sesame Street, so she went as Abby Cadabby! She has even had to wear it a couple times since Halloween. Mattisyn was a little lamb. So cute and cozy.

Update w/ New Family Pics
So I pretty much suck at keeping my blog up to date!! We have lived in our house for over a year now. Yay!!!
McKinley is going to be two at the end of next week so I have pretty much gone crazy with shopping for her. Her word and sentence vocabulary has pretty quadrupled!!

Mattisyn is going to be 6 months this week. (Wow time flys. It seems like yesterday I was in the Labor Room having her.) She has started rolling a lot and seems like she will start crawling at anytime now.
I have adjusted being a stay at home mom of two very cute girls.
Matt is doing great. He is still working his full time and part-time jobs.

Introducing Mattisyn JoAnn Cole
Okay, so Im a little behind. Mattisyn just turn three weeks old yesterday. We went into the doctor on April 20th for a routine check-up. I had been having false contractions for the last couple of weeks and when they checked my blood pressure it was very high. I had also swelled up the last couple of days. Doc came back after checking my blood pressure for the fouth time in 45min period - Toxiemia (PreClamsia) AGAIN. So.. To Labor and Delivery we went. Mattisyn was born on my Aunt Jen's birthday!!

Mattisyn had a hard time breathing on her own. The doctors told us that if they couldnt take her of the oxygen within 6 hours she would be admitted to NICU. This was the long 6 hours for us. Matt and one of the Drs gave her a priesthood blessing and then we had to leave her in transition. I couldnt sleep the rest of the night. Waiting for the phone call to hear what was going on. After 6 1/2 hours passed I made Matt call to see what was going on. The nurse told him they were in the middle of running some more test and they would let us know. After another hour passed, we called again. Good new this time. The nurse informed us that they were bring her to us and that she was now off the oxygen.

McKinley is thrilled with her new little "sissy". She runs up to her every chance she gets and says "Hi Sissy, Hi Sissy". McKinley has enjoyed holding Mattisyn (with help of course) and loves to push her in the baby swing!! (Not momma's favorite thing)
