Christmas 2010 - A fun Surprise

Christmas this year was tons of FUN!! But, I have to rewind a few days to the Wednesday before Christmas. We went in for the Big ultrasound. I told the tech that I didnt want to know the sex of the baby, but my husband did. We left the office with some nice pics and the tech gave Matt an envelope with the sex of the baby.

Christmas morning Matt surprised my with .....

an outfit for each one of ours girls!!!! Yep, we are having another little girl!! We have picked the name Mindi. (this a name that is special to my hubby) and we also picked the middle name JoAnn (to honor my grandmother).

McKinley was so cute on Christmas morning. She took forever to unwrap any present put in front of her.

Next, we went to my parents to enjoy the day with my sister, her hubby, my brothers family, and of course my parents. My dad got this cute little car that he can actually stick the grandkids in and drive it around by remote controls.

After going home and catching a much needed nap, we went back over to my parents for more fun riding in the car and games.

Finally Matt's mom and step-dad made it home and we were able to spend a little time with them before McKinley decide she was done and wanted to start being a terror. :)

As of today, we still haven't been able to spend time/Christmas with Matt's dad. He is out of town/state working and hasn't been able to make it home.

1. What is your ALL time favorite song and why? My favorite song would have to be, I do (cherish you) by Mark Wills. It was the song that was playing on the radio, when Matt drove me to pick up my ring (before getting engaged). Matt then gave me the CD when he proposed and it was also our wedding song.

2. What was the most memorable part of your wedding day and or first date if you are not married yet? Most memorable.. It all went by so fast that it seems like a blur. I guess I would have to say. The most memorable part was our sealing.

3. What do you want to be when you grow up? A stay at home mommy

4. Why do you blog? Because Amber made me. (my sister-in-law) and now I'm addicted. I dont blog often. But I love it!

5. What is your favorite attribute about yourself and why? Not Sure :(

6. What's on your Christmas list this year? To find out if this second baby is a boy or girl, Wii Fit, and lots of good books.

Halloween and First Birthday!!!

McKinley turned 1 on Thursday! I can't believe my baby is growing up! It seems like just yesterday that I was at the hospital with her. We can't imagine life without her. She is daddy's little girl, momma's snuggle bug, grandmas and grandpas angel.


We started our fun weekend with a trunk or treat on Friday! I had my brothers kids and we had lots of Fun!!
Saturday my brother kids took McKinley trick or treating!!


Sunday we had our BIG party for McKinley (with a little celebrating on the side for my brother and me, since we all have b-days really close)

Well the first Ultrasound.

We had our first Doctors appt. last Friday. I love going to the first appointment and seeing our little baby, even though it looks like a bean. This proves to me that there is actually something there and that I'm just not being sick all the time.

Update with Family Photos

I'm really bad about blogging so here is the update for the last 10 months.
We sold our house in Roy and decided to move closer to our home town. We now have a beautiful home in Elwood. We lived in Layton, with Matt's grandparents for a short time while we were waiting for our house to be built.



McKinley is growing so fast. She has become a big time daddy's girl. He can't leave the room with out her crying. McKinley started walking/wobbling at 9 1/2 months and now can run at 10 1/2 months.



Matt started a new part-time job at night, so we can hopefully pay off our truck sooner. And then I can stay home with the kids.




Yes, I said kids. (with an s) :) We are expecting our second child in May.

McKinley Rae Cole

On October 28th.
4:30 pm - I went to the Dr. for a regular check up. I had a ton of swelling in my body for the last couple of weeks and high blood pressure for a week. The Dr. said that I had all the signs of preclamsyia (toxiemia). He gave us a couple of options -- wait to see if my labor progressed, but warned us that there could be possiblity of seizures or he could start my labor and possibly a long labor, or I could have a c-section and have the baby that night. Matt and I both trust my Dr. completely so, we told him we would do what he thought was best.

8:06 - McKinley Rae Cole was born. She is such an angel. That night I became Matt's number 2 girl. McKinley is now his number 1!! (and that's okay with me)

We have had a blast with her. She is the most snuggley baby. She loves to sleep during the day and keep her mommy awake at night.
